Why South Bay Massage College?

South Bay Massage College is State Approved.  Approval to operate means compliance with minimum state standards and does not imply any endorsement or recommendation by the state or by the Bureau) by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education, since July 1998 and CAMTC Approved School on July 1, 2016.

South Bay Massage College is the most cost-effective Massage Program in Southern California.
Federal Aid Massage Schools are very costly ($16,000 or more) and you must attend full-time for 10 plus months and you must pay that back. They typically enroll 25-30 students per class, which is way too many to be effective in learning massage.  They also make you take and pay for classes that you don’t have any interest in.  Be very cautious!  Ask many questions about tuition amount and that you would like to talk with students that are enrolled.

Small student to Instructor ratio; typically our classes are 6 to 10 students per class. You will get so much more out of this than having 25-30 students per class.

State-approved Internship program at our student spa located in Manhattan Beach. Most massage schools don’t have an Intern Spa which is so beneficial for experience and learning massage.

Great location; Beautiful Manhattan Beach, California. Our main campus is located 5 blocks from the beach.  Our spa is just 2 blocks to the beach, walk down to beach or pier during your breaks. Ample free parking.

Expert instructors. All of our instructors have many years of experience and enjoy what they do. They are all certified to teach. You will learn a great deal and will have a lot of fun at the same time. Doctors of Chiropractic teach our Anatomy/Physiology Classes.  We hire Doctors so you will have an expert teach you anatomy and sports related injuries and how to treat them successfully. Most massage schools did not do this because it costs a lot more to do so.

Advance classes over 900 hours; Deep Tissue I & II, Sports Massage, Acupressure, Advance Anatomy, Chair Massage, Pathology, Pregnancy Massage, Advance Massage Technique, Cranial Sacral, Myofascial Release Therapy, Exercise Rehab/Training, Kinesiology & Physiology, Reflexology, Sports-Injury Rehab, Advanced Clinical Massage, Lymphatic Massage, Energy Healing, Business/Ethics, and more...

Great friendly and helpful administrative staff. We are always willing to answer all of your questions and concerns.  We know we have an amazing massage program and we want you to know as much as possible about us before planning on attending.  Ask as many questions as you like.

As of the end of 2020, we are very proud to have graduated over 2,500 students since opening in July 1998.
