INTERN SPA
At South Bay Massage College our students practice their massage techniques and gain real life practice on clientele in a professional spa environment. This is very valuable for your experience and confidence.
Our Intern massages are very affordable to our South Bay community and greater Los Angeles areas. We offer Swedish (relaxation massage) and Deep Tissue massage to our clientele. We have many regular customers that return weekly or monthly making massage an integral part of their active healthy lifestyle.
Practice, practice and practice…You will learn front desk spa procedures and assessing your clients’ therapeutic needs… working on different body types and personalities and will you learn the art of massage therapy and practice your skill in a highly supportive and structured spa environment.
After completion of our Internship program you will be fully prepped for your first massage therapy job. Hands on experience with invaluable feedback from your clients will ensure you to be ready for a career in massage therapy.
Our Spa is open to the public - Our massage spa is very affordable to the public and you will receive a top notch Swedish or Deep Tissue therapeutic massage.
Swedish massages are $33/hour (Add $5 for Deep Tissue). 1-1/2 or 2 hour massages are also available. To schedule an massage call 310-546-8811 or 310.546.8812.

The following are policies to which you agree to abide by when you book a massage in our teaching spa:

Intern Massage Spa: Policies
The following are policies to which you agree to abide by when you book a massage in our teaching spa:
Our Spa Policies:
- Good personal hygiene.
- Not here while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- Cell phones off during massage.
- The client takes responsibility for personal belongings.
- Control of pressure is up to the client; clients may ask for more or less pressure.
- Please state all the medical conditions to your massage therapist.
Important SBMC Spa Policies:
- The massages offered at SBMC Spa are for therapeutic purposes only. Therefore, any sexually implicit behavior will result in the immediate termination of the session for which no refund will be given. Furthermore, you will no longer be allowed into our spa.
- The student massage therapists do not diagnose illness, disease or any physical or mental disorder; does not prescribe medical or pharmaceutical treatment and does not do spinal manipulations. This massage is not a substitute for medical care by licensed health care providers.
- Any client under 18 years old is required to have parent/guardian consent.
Other Spa Policies:
- 24 hour cancellation policy to avoid charge.
- Our massage sessions will end at the scheduled time, even if you are late in arriving. If your intern doesn’t have another massage appointment right after or doesn’t have to leave after their last massage then you may receive your full time. Please try to arrive at least 10-15 minutes before your massage begins.
- We only accept Cash or Checks (No out of state checks). We don’t accept credit cards at our student spa.
- Gift Cards and Package Rates are available. Check for massage specials that we offer during holiday seasons!!
